How Your AC Condenser Works
At present, many have enjoyed the comfort levels that they get with their vehicles. One of the parts in a vehicle that gives you comfort is the air conditioning system. Since the first invention of air conditioning system, there are so many changes that had happened to the ac system. Improvements have been made like computerization of the temperature control.
The air conditioning system is made up of a compressor, automotive condenser, an evaporator and refrigeration lines. The condenser is like the miniature of a radiator that is located in front of the big radiator. An ac condenser is just part of the total function of a car air conditioning system and also a part of the whole car.
It works with the other air conditioning parts. The refrigerant and evaporator are the one that manipulates the whole AC system. The compressor sucks the refrigerant and compresses and pressurizes the refrigerant to make it hot. Then the hot gas will flow into the condensing coils and the air blow from the outside by the fan. The heat is then dispersed and the gas cools down into liquid form. The expansion valve regulates the flow of the refrigerant to turn it into gas again. The liquid part of the refrigerant evaporates in the evaporator. The cold air now is forced into the receiver which filters the cold air of contaminants before it goes into the car’s interior. The hot gas then goes back to the compressor. And the cycle is repeated.
The auto ac condenser works as the heat dissipater of the whole ac system. It cannot work for itself alone it exists with the others. It is connect with the other ac parts. It is located behind the grille and in front of the radiator. It looks like the radiator. It is like a small kind of radiator. Like the radiator, ac condenser has tubing and fins. The difference between ac condenser and radiator is that the radiator is for the engine’s cooling system while the condenser is for the car’s interior air conditioning system.
